Crank post 1

I really like this book because I can relate to it. On my fathers side of the family there has been many people that have abused drugs, like Bree's father doing coke at the bowling alley and not coming home on time, if at all. My grandfather was a lot like Bree's father in many ways by not coming home the night he geos out and letting his faimily fend for themselves. I freel for bree a and the pain she goes through every day and that she got into the drugs which I thought that she had a strong enough will not to get caught up in the drugs that Adam and her father are in.

  1. It only goes to show how careful we have to be about the friends that we hang out with. Even though we think our constitution is strong, it is easily persuaded when it comes to our peers and fitting in. The problem with Bre and drugs is, we don't ever fit in. It is an addiction and a sickness, one worth running from. Just look at all of the conflicts that arise because of Bre's drug addiction. It takes over her live and she looses control. Ellen Hopkins experienced this first hand with her own daughter, that is why she is able to write so realistically.
